Dash Teak House is a heritage structure located in a small soi (lane) in the northeast corner of Chiang Mai Old City. Diners have the choice of eating in the spacious garden or in the upstairs lounge. The menu at Dash is a fusion of the best Thai and Western dishes with items such as spaghetti, Caesar salads, samosas, burgers, spring rolls and larb spicy minced pork dishes on it. Since opening in the late 1990s, the Art Café has evolved into one of Chiang Mai’s preferred dining venues. Part of the reason for this is a convenient location opposite Thapae Gate, but the main reason is delicious dishes with sizable portions. The Hideaway is under the same management as the Art Café and has the same full menu as that establishment. The Hideaway is the bakery and the cheese production centre for the two restaurants’ own-brand Dacheeso products. These items are on sale at the Hideaway.
