Chiang Mai Restaurants Serving Special Valentine’s Day Dinners



Couples on holiday in Chiang Mai will find there is a varied collection of restaurants offering the perfect setting to enjoy romantic dinners and delicious dishes. With the arrival of Valentine’s Day on the 14 February, the occasion probably needs to be marked with a special meal. A number of Chiang Mai’s hotels and restaurants recognise the importance of Valentine’s Day and are laying on dinners for couples to help celebrate the big day.  

Those planning on going out for a Valentine’s Day dinner in Chiang Mai should make a reservation as soon as possible as spaces are limited. At dining establishment extraordinaire Le Coq d’Or, guests will be able to feast on a six-course banquet featuring French haute cuisine.  Le Coq d’Or is housed in an old colonial structure set in spacious gardens and is located next to the River Ping.

Occupying a prime spot on Chang Klan Road, the Shangri-La Hotel is a convenient spot to celebrate Valentine’s with a memorable meal. Black Angus beef, oysters, Alaskan crab and strawberry desserts are on the menu at the hotel’s Kad Kafe. The Shangri-La’s China Kitchen and Dahla restaurants are offering Szechuan and Italian Valentine’s dinners while opting for a meal in a private cabana is likely to be the ultimate Valentine’s experience.  

At the Dusit D2 Hotel, also close to Chang Klan, a Romance Valentine dinner will be served on the pool terrace. The five course meal gives the chance of sampling the likes of thom ka seafood soup, salmon, tuna, chocolate and fruit fondue, and comes with two glasses of wine. The Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is on the road up to the Mae Sa Valley. The Orchid Nursery at the Four Seasons is the venue for a Valentine dinner with a difference.
