Chiang Mai’s Phoenix Adventure Park offers a one-of-kind experience on a high ropes obstacle course. The full course is made up of 48 challenging features which allow adventure junkies the chance of swinging through the treetops like Tarzan. Lofty swinging bridges, walking on poles while hanging onto high ropes, traversing an aerial tunnel and jumping off high platforms will banish any phobias about heights and wildlife forever.
Phoenix Adventure Park is just north of the main road through Chiang Mai activity centre extraordinaire, the Mae Sa Valley. Phoenix’s city office is on Rattanakosin Road. The park runs six shuttle services a day from Chiang Mai and the round trip fare is included in the main package price. For true adventure lovers, Eagle Track Zipline offers a twin-centre Phoenix high ropes obstacle course and ziplining package.
Phoenix Adventure Park provides a choice of three different programmes. The Small comes with 19 challenges, Medium with 29 and super Large with 48. As well as free transport, each package comes with a new pair of gloves, insurance and drinking water. Phoenix recommends wearing sports shoes and clothing that covers the arms and legs to protect against rope burns and scratches.
People taking part in high ropes obstacle course activities need to be in a reasonable state of health and between eight and sixty years old. They also need to be a minimum of 160 centimetres tall and weigh less than 120 kilogrammes.
