The Coyote Bar is one of the bar beers in the Loi Kroh Muay Thai boxing centre. This bar is a premium choice as it is air-conditioned and comes with the added extras of a pool table, live televised sports, bar snacks, a fully-stocked bar and even wireless internet.

Barely a minute’s walk from the Coyote, the Roo is not so much an Australian themed bar as one dedicated to motorcycling. The Roo boasts a large covered streetside terrace and claims it plays the best music in Chiang Mai. A pool table, ice-cold beers and friendly staff are three compelling reasons to select the Roo.

About halfway down Loi Kroh, the Playhouse Bar is a great spot to make new friends and have fun. Specialist cocktails add to the standard beer and wine offerings of similar bars while the staff lay on pub games for the enjoyment of patrons. Loi Kroh’s Wild Boar is a mixed pub and restaurant at which customers are able to enjoy delicious food and beverages as well as play pool and watch live sports games on screen. Loi Kroh is noted as the girly bar hub of Chiang Mai. The Number 1 Bar and Bistro is an oasis just a few metres from the main road and down Soi 1. The bar is nicely laid out, spacious and resembles a Belgian pub. A large array of beers from Belgium plus Germany and the US provides a refreshing alternative to Thai lagers. The original Chiang Mai Saloon is towards the Night Bazaar end of Loi Kroh. Like a sister establishment on Ratvithi Road, the Saloon is themed on the Wild West and has a décor and ornaments which reflect this. Burgers, beers, shots, wines and a homely atmosphere make this a good stop on a Loi Kroh pub crawl.

The Red Lion is an English pub with loads of items of memorabilia on its walls. It has a patio at the front which is perfect to relax on after shopping sprees in the nearby Night Bazaar. Draught Guinness, several different ciders, English ales such as Fuller’s London Pride, Well’s Bombardier and IPA plus wines and cocktails including a signature Singapore Sling are a few of the entries on an endless drinks menu. On the same road as the Red Lion, the Down Under offers a great atmosphere to enjoy ice-cold beers and Aussie food. The décor at O’Malley’s is classically Irish and features dark polished wood and furniture with green-topped tables. The draught Guinness tap seems to add an exclamation mark. Other draughts include Kilkenny, Erdinger Weissbrau and Kopparberg. A varied selection of bottled beers, premium and house spirits and whiskies, cocktails and soft drinks provides choice for drinkers. Philly cheese steak sandwiches, seafood chowder, Irish stew and all-day breakfasts are recommended options on the diverse food offerings.
