The fifth edition of Chiang Mai’s increasingly popular Jai Thep Festival will take place at the end of this month. According to the festival website, the three day extravaganza of music, art and fun will run over the weekend from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February, 2020. The venue for the event is the same as for the previous two years and is the inspirational Lanna Rock Garden.
The eclectic music lineup for Jai Thep Festival 2020 includes Indonesian electronic maestros Bottlesmoker, Paris trance act Talamasca, Thomas Von Party and Thailand’s very own Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band. A full list of the musical entertainment acts is linked here. In addition, festivalgoers will be treated to an exciting array of visual arts shows ranging from home-grown culture shows to dance performances and circus stunts.
Tickets for Jai Thep Festival 2020, and what is now billed as one of the incomparable festivals in Southeast Asia, are available online at Ticket Melon. The website also has the facility for those wishing to spend the full three days at the Lanna Rock Garden to reserve their tents and sleeping bags. The Lanna Rock Garden is 16kms south of Chiang Mai and on Highway 1269, the southern sweep of the Samoeng Loop.
