The nightlife in Pai is surprisingly lively for a community of its relatively small size. Most of Pai’s watering holes are situated within easy walking distance of one another along Chaisongkran Road. A lot of Pai bars close relatively early thanks to a midnight curfew, but the establishments located on the community’s outskirts tend to stay open later than the ones on Chaisongkran Road. A large percentage of the musicians who frequently perform live at Pai bars are Thai bands who specialise in reggae covers. After a long night of partying at Pai bars, many visitors choose to end their nights with a reflexology treatment, facial, or soothing Thai massage at any of the community’s numerous late night massage parlours.

WHY NOT BAR
The atmosphere at Why Not Bar, on the other hand, is far noisier and livelier. The drinks are cheap and the loud music is usually reggae and hip hop at this perennially popular Pai party spot open from 17:00 to 22:00 every night. Vodka, gin, mojitos, and sangsom rum are the most frequently ordered drinks on the Why Not Bar menu.

BUFFALO HILL BAR
The Buffalo Hill Bar is conveniently located opposite Pai’s high school. Live music, friendly company, and plenty of cold draught beer on tap are a few reasons why the Buffalo Hill Bar is particularly popular with tourists. Food is served until midnight, jam sessions take place each evening, and happy hour lasts all night long at the Buffalo Hill Bar.

DON’T CRY BAR
Don’t Cry Bar is another Raddamrong Road watering hole which remains open until the wee hours of the morning. The atmosphere at Don’t Cry Bar is typically livelier than neighbouring Bamboo Bar, in large part thanks to a barbecue, pool table, and nonstop reggae music. A nightly campfire and open bar where fire shows take place help bring the parties at Don’t Cry Bar outdoors.

Both the décor and the soothing jazz music in the background help transport people back to the 1920s when they visit Silhouette. The atmosphere at this riverside Reverie Siam Hotel bar is so tranquil, patrons can often hear the sound of grasshoppers as they enjoy tapas, wine, and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine by candlelight while sitting at antique wooden chairs and tables.

A riverside bamboo terrace with cushions stands next to the main entrance of the Bamboo Bar, a peaceful and relaxed Raddamrong Road establishment. The Bamboo Bar has never changed its name or ownership since its original opening, and often stays open until 05:00 or 06:00 the next morning. Bamboo Bar patrons can enjoy tasty food cooked over three fire pits or dancing the night away on the bamboo floor.
