Chiang Mai is a transportation hub for the North of Thailand. Chiang Mai Airport is served by Thai and domestic airlines with flights from locations including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Mandalay. The city’s railway station is the terminus for Northern Line trains from Bangkok and all points in between. The Arcade Bus Station has routes linking Chiang Mai to Bangkok, Eastern Thailand and every major destination in Northern Thailand.
After arrival in Chiang Mai, visitors have a choice of the local tuk-tuk and songtheaw taxis, air-conditioned taxis and two bus routes for local travel.
